German-Romanian Business Conference: Strengthening Partnerships – Turning Challenges into Opportunities.

This business conference for the promotion of Romania and the Republic of Moldova as solid investment locations aims to address the opportunities and cooperation areas that the countries have to offer, to strengthen economic and political partnerships and to increase German activities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

High ranking representatives of all three Governments as well as high-profile companies will attend the event as speakers and participants in the discussion panels during 2 intense days that will concentrate on several significant aspects of the regional economy.

During the conference, Romania will be looked at through the lens of its industrial and manufacturing capacity, including the innovation and R&D. The focus will be on how these elements contribute to the country’s economic growth, its competitive edge in the European market, and to the expansion the German footprint in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The conference will also address the energy sector and Romania’s advantages, including its significant gas reserves, well-developed renewable energy supply chains, and growing energy projects, positioning the country as a key player in European industry and climate neutrality efforts.

Investors searching for new opportunities are increasingly drawn to the accelerated nearshoring trend, supported by the steadily improving infrastructure in both transportation and digital sectors, along with Romania's NATO, EU, and Schengen memberships. This, coupled with Moldova’s ongoing political and economic reforms and its efforts to align with EU standards, has fostered a more stable and attractive business environment.

Together, Romania and Moldova have emerged as key hubs for nearshoring, a trend that has been further amplified by global geopolitical shifts, positioning the region as an increasingly favorable investment destination.

Additionally, both countries, as major agricultural producers, hold significant potential in the "From Farm to Fork" sector. Moldova, in particular, stands out as one of Europe's largest agricultural producers, ith vast opportunities in agribusiness, including the production of wine, fruits, vegetables, and grains.
