Rebuilding Ukraine: Security, Opportunities, Investment

The New Strategy Center is pleased to announce the organization of its “Rebuilding Ukraine: Security, Opportunities, Investment” forum, that brings together important institutional actors, experts, business leaders, and investors to discuss Romania's role in the reconstruction process of Ukraine and to explore concrete opportunities for economic cooperation and strategic partnerships.

The forum will place special emphasis on the economic recovery and reconstruction of the Southern part of Ukraine, one of the most affected by the war. Representatives of the Ukrainian regions neighboring Romania will attend and present the investment opportunities in their areas.

Romania offers a compelling set of advantages: direct geographic proximity to Ukraine, security umbrella as NATO member state, stable legislation harmonized with EU standards, and a trained, competitive labor force aligned with the requirements of European markets. In addition, Romania will be the largest gas producer in the EU starting in 2027, having significant gas resources from the Black Sea, thus contributing to regional energy security and enabling long-term economic planning for major investments.

Connectivity and the dynamics of cross-border business between Ukraine, Romania, and the Republic of Moldova are other key points that we will address during the event.

New Strategy Center aims to provide participants with the opportunity to better understand issues related to the reconstruction of Ukraine, security and defense, infrastructure and connectivity, energy, agriculture, telecommunications, cybersecurity, health, as well as the human dimension of reconstruction and cross-border cooperation.
